Few people know this legume. It is a wild pea variety, for this reason it is also called pisello selvatico, pisello dei campi o robiglioIt was imported into Europe from the Middle East, where it was known since the Neolithic Time. It is a legume very rich in fibers, proteins, phosphorus, potassium and vitamin B1. Its nutritional values have led the experts to re-evaluate Roveja among the best legumes in the world, especially if, like ours, it is cultivated using organic farming and traditional techniques. In fact, every type of care for this plant (protection, weeding and harvesting) has been carried out by hand: evidence of a company philosophy that wants to maintain the genuineness of this niche product. Therefore, this allowed us to be rewarded with the Slow Food Presidium.
